The product
What it is, and when it earns its place
Slotted angle is the section almost every bolted rack starts from. Both faces are punched at a regular pitch, so uprights, beams and shelf supports bolt straight to one another without drilling or welding on site.
What that buys you is a frame you can change your mind about. A run goes taller, a shelf moves, a bay gets added on the end — none of it needs the rack stripped down or a fabricator called out. In a godown or a store room where the layout is still settling, that matters more than a neater weld.
What we need to quote it
- The lengths you need, and how many of each
- What you are building — shelving, a frame or a full run
- Shelf count and spacing, if we are assembling it
- Whether the sections are going indoors or into a damp area
- Whether you want it delivered loose or fitted

Questions
Iron Angles: common questions
What is slotted angle?
Steel angle punched with holes and slots along both faces at a set pitch. Sections bolt to one another through those holes, so a frame or a run of shelving goes together without welding or drilling on site.
What sizes do you supply?
We quote against what you are building rather than publishing a size list. Send us the lengths and quantities, or the shelving you have in mind, and the quotation comes back against that.
Can I assemble the racking myself?
Yes. That is the point of a bolted section — it goes up with hand tools and can be altered later. If you would rather not, our team builds and installs it in the usual way.
Send us your shop measurements.
A photograph of the wall or the floor, and rough sizes. That is all we need to give you a price.
