The product

What it is, and when it earns its place

What we need to quote it

  • The height you need to reach, not the height of the ladder
  • Whether it has to stand free or can lean
  • Where it is stored between uses
  • How long people stand on it at a stretch, which decides tread width
  • Whether it lives in a damp store room

Where it is used

Where this one usually goes

  • Godowns and warehouses

Reaching the upper levels of a rack run, standing free in the middle of an aisle.

  • Shops and showrooms

Getting to top-shelf stock and signage without a ladder that dominates the floor.

  • Offices and building maintenance

Record rooms, ceiling fittings and the jobs that come up twice a year.

Options

The decisions you get to make

  • 01

    Step or straight

A-frame where it has to stand on its own, straight where it leans and stores flat.

  • 02

    Height

Made to the reach you need, against the racking or the ceiling it serves.

  • 03

    Tread

Gripped treads, in the width that suits how long people stand on them.

  • 04

    Finish

Powder coated, which is what keeps a ladder stored in a damp room from rusting.

Questions

Industrial Ladders: common questions

What height do you make them to?

Tell us the reach rather than the ladder — the top shelf of your racking, or the ceiling fitting — and we will build to it. Nothing here comes in fixed sizes.

Step ladder or straight ladder?

A step ladder stands on its own, so it works in the middle of an aisle with nothing to lean on. A straight ladder stores flatter against a wall. Most godowns end up with one of each.

Are they steel or aluminium?

Steel, powder coated. It is what we fabricate, and it is what stands up to a working godown rather than an occasional household job.

Send us your shop measurements.

A photograph of the wall or the floor, and rough sizes. That is all we need to give you a price.
